Converve respects your privacy. We want to make use of the personal identifying information that you provide to us for purposes of serving you better. Personal identifying information is information that enables us to identify you, such as your E-mail address, name, title and address. Converve uses your personal identifying information to personalize your experience on the Converve websites and to selectively send you communications that may be of interest to you, whether electronically or otherwise.

The converve platform is a webbased application owned by Converve GmbH. The content of this privacy policy applies to both participants and organisers.


Gathering, processing und usage of personal data

Essentially, you can visit Converve’ websites without leaving any personal data behind.
Personal data will only be used if you actively provide it (e.g. when using our website’s services, such as ticket purchasing or registration forms for events, sending a message via our website or registering as a user on our websites). Beyond such cases, no personal data will be gathered.
Usage of personal data via Converve (e.g. for the sending of a newsletter) is only possible as long as the user has explicitly approved of it. This approval can be revoked.


Attendee Data

The attendee data gathered for an event (e.g. during a ticket purchase or event registration) will be accessible to the event organiser. This is necessary for the performance of a contract (e.g. for managing the entry at an event). The event host can determine whether certain participant data are displayed on a publicly accessible attendee list. As an attendee, you are able to remove your details from the attendee list or to contact the event organiser and Converve with regard to this matter.

Use of Google Analytics

In order to help us understand how visitors engage with our website, we use the Google Analytics web analysis tool provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses a so-called cookie (text files) saved on your computer to track visitor interactions. The information (including your IP address) generated by the cookie about your interaction with this site is sent to a Google server located in the U.S. and stored there. To this end, we use an “_anonymizeIp()” script which ensures that Google immediately anonymises your IP address after geolocation. We have also concluded a data processing agreement with Google pursuant to Section 11 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). On the Converve website plug-ins of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, are integrated. On our website, you find the so called “like-button” in form of a “thumbs-up”-icon. If you are looking for further information on the functionality of the Facebook-like-button you can find it here During your visit of the Converve website your IP address is transferred to Facebook because of a direct connection between the browser and the facebook server. Thus Facebook receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. Further information is in Facebook’s data use policy which you can find here. Converve does not receive any information on the content of the transferred data.
